History Of Mount Radford FC
2006 / 2007 Season
Premier Cup
We had a fantastic 2006/2007 season, which saw us reach the Premier Cup Final and being promoted to the Premier Division of the Devon and Exeter Sunday league.
We travelled to Exmouth in the quarter finals of the cup to play local rivals The Railwayman. The Raddie were 1-0 down going into stoppage time and we managed to score a last kick of the game equalizer. It was a stalemate in extra time with both teams cancelling each other out. Penalty's loomed. We looked doomed as our first 2 penalty takers missed and they scored. Lucky for us, we started to score our's and the Railwayman started to miss their's. We managed to win the game in sudden death to cap off, the Raddies greatest ever night.
The Final at Exeter City's St James Park loomed.
Unfortunately most of the team stayed at home during the cup final and we lost 2-0 to the Royal Oak, but we have all vowed to get to St James Park again............
